Round-the-Year Availability
Although quarrying traditionally takes place during the dry season from November to March, we maintain ample
year-round stock. This is possible through our extensive network of self-owned quarries supported by over 200 sourcing quarries, ensuring uninterrupted supply for projects of every scale and timeframe.
The Legacy of Kota Sandstone
Among all our sites, Kota in Rajasthan holds a special place. Its sandstone, formed over three billion years ago, is among the oldest and most compact on the planet – almost ten times older than the sandstones found in the UK. That geological maturity gives it its high density, low porosity, and unmatched strength, making it one of the world’s finest building and landscaping stones.
Its quartzitic composition keeps water absorption to a minimum – around 1%, compared to the 7–8% seen in softer sandstones like mint or teak. This makes Kota sandstone naturally frost-resistant, durable, and structurally reliable, especially in climates with high rainfall and temperature variation. Every block has a beautiful uniformity in texture and tone, ranging from buff and brown to subtle grey, ensuring both elegance and endurance.

Our stone is regularly assessed for:
- Water absorption and density to ensure structural performance
- Flexural strength, tested under controlled loading to guarantee resilience under stress
- Freeze–thaw resistance to ensure long-term stability in outdoor installations
